The reason I’m thinking about this is this past weekend I was with a friend who held a gargantuan amount of Bitcoin in 2011. He had heard of FC but didn’t know what it was. He has a big following on other platforms so isn’t really incentivized to look for an alternative but that still seems like a fail. Everyone into crypto should know what FC is by now, and what problem it’s trying to solve.

If things like frames, wallets and decentralization don’t bring crypto people over, not clear what will.

frames is a good first primitive. wallets as they exist today are a double-edged sword and thus a negative for many babes decentralization is an idea which requires long education in order to drive behavior

"wallets as they exist today are a double-edged sword" 👏 This is an inconvenient truth, that needs to be kept front and center in the conversation, so this solvable coordination problem, get bloody solved. It's been years, and it's not technical (really)...it strikes me as a symptom of the coordination challenges around a big, messy, but ultimately "open/permissionless" network....but this challenge will become existential at some point if it doesn't get broadly knocked on the head.

wallets feel akin to web browsers. to the extent that this is accurate — Mosaic to Chrome took fifteen years we’re so early
