Bluesky has an inspiring vision that makes people of all backgrounds want to join. What is Farcaster’s?

The reason I’m thinking about this is this past weekend I was with a friend who held a gargantuan amount of Bitcoin in 2011. He had heard of FC but didn’t know what it was. He has a big following on other platforms so isn’t really incentivized to look for an alternative but that still seems like a fail. Everyone into crypto should know what FC is by now, and what problem it’s trying to solve.

Is he BTC only? That may explain it.

If things like frames, wallets and decentralization don’t bring crypto people over, not clear what will.

Inspiring Vision: "Farcaster is where @gigamesh is." What more motivation does your friend bloody need 😁. (I say in jest, this is a great provocation @gigamesh)

Zooming out a bit, I feel a big part as to why this is comes down to how each person sees and interacts with crypto. The word is really a catch all, when in reality it’s made up of many fractions. You have your maxis, your shillers, your artists, your joirnalists, your decentralized community builders and politically motivated patrons among others. The FC crowd is more intellectual and open minded than say Bluesky, but maybe because FC is all these things as opposed to one of these things distinctly, it’s harder to classify.
