The reason I’m thinking about this is this past weekend I was with a friend who held a gargantuan amount of Bitcoin in 2011.

He had heard of FC but didn’t know what it was. He has a big following on other platforms so isn’t really incentivized to look for an alternative but that still seems like a fail. Everyone into crypto should know what FC is by now, and what problem it’s trying to solve.

I've got a few friends in crypto. One is an ADA guy and the other is a classic toxic Maxi. It's weird what people focus on.
I think the high fees of ETH mainnet in the past was a huge deal breaker for a lot of people.

No but he's def more into layer 1s vs everything happening on ethereum
