Founders with low emotional intelligence. I’ll invest in them, but I won’t work for them. That’s asking for misery.

Narcissistic and low EQ folks tend to make a lot of money because they don’t care who they step on to get there. Would never work for them, but boy do they return money.

Negotiate for preferred shares. You are going to work 10 years worth of hours and effort in the next 3 years. You must believe the team can make it, can manage their runway, and that you can work under those conditions without losing your sanity. You will also get your hands dirty. You won’t have minions to do it. You are the minion. High risk, high reward. It’s okay if it’s not for you. No shame in a Fortune 500 9-5 ;)
