Most founders overestimate the value of their vision and then expect new people to come in and “execute.” I think a total lack of awareness about how the startup landscape works is the biggest 🚩

Reiterating a few of mine that have t been mentioned yet - young and never worked another job - hasn’t worked in the vertical they’re working in now - was a co/founder of something else within the last 2 years that’s debatably related - has anyone on their team doing “strategy” pre product - has a product person pre PMF - has a newsletter - etc
