I’m trying to help some of my friend level set. I don’t think they realize how much time some people are putting into Farcaster. They only see a few casts and now that many people are working behind the scenes all day to make those “casts”happen.  Then they compare themselves to people spending 10+ hours a day doing Farcster things.

Yes. If I add in my art time, it’s 16 hours a day, but I’m also multitasking sometimes.

The time I spend differs between weekdays and weekends, but it's usually around 4 to 5 hours. Your minting work seems like it would take quite a lot of time, doesn't it?

I think most people don’t realize how many folks have pivoted to having a Farcaster related job and spend a lot of time on Farcaster adjacent things.

Considering I’ve got a day job, probably a little too much time on the purple app 😅

Including app time is perfectly okay! I don’t want people to ONLY include app time if they spent 8 hours coding a frame but only 20 minutes posting it on the app!

sorry, I answered after reading the poll but before reading your cast.  I included app time since I consider that FC-adjacent.

But this is a good point too. Some folks are supporting 4-5 platforms where they already have an audience. Some are focusing their time exclusively here. That’s hard to compete with no matter how great your content is.

A lot.  It's a lot of hours.

But it's not *just* for Farcaster.  I've been a content creator for a decade, this just happens to be the platform I've decided to pivot to, so it's getting a lot of my attention right now.

I chose 2-5 hours, and I hope it's not more than that. Have been trying to cut back.
