If you don’t think the spam is that bad, I implore you to go to a channel like /memes  or /purple  that has their recent feed on and look through it. 

I don’t want to miss legitimate questions about /purple so I check the recent feed every few hours and every few hours I’m rewarded with 10 new people to block. 

Channel invitations can’t come fast enough.

I’ve seen the unmoderated feeds of big channels. It’s horrific.

When I was monitoring casts during the Power Badge era, I used Buoy to get an unvarnished view into our feed and was truly stunning how much garbage is there. Merkle does a lot to keep this out of view, more than people realize.

Im extremely sad this morning, I woke up to find out that Im now in the spam list and I think @wake.eth was the one who reported me as spam. I think he misunderstood me or something. 
How do I rectify this?

You can’t get on the list from one report and it’s very unlikely he reported you. 

There’s no way to get off the list now. You should have gotten a warning before the label was applied.

Yup. Because they are fighting to be seen along with 200 Bitcoin copy pasta and f4f posts. It’s terrible.

They spam my channels. They are spammers.

They have no idea of you Pichi they wouldn't have done something to deserve block

The spam saga continues to unfold! The Spam Algo will NOT trigger in the new version of channels because in theory there will be zero spammers, because you'd have to invite them to your channel! It will still apply to casts outside of channels so everyone should be on their guard. Am I missing any other critical info from this frame? Please let me know! Every channel is hosted by a different person and it’s up to the owner.

But with the channel invitations, 
How do genuine people get you to invite them?? 

And what happens to people who are already members of channels?

No, never. I assume most people in the show more replies bucket are mislabeled. 

I’m blocking people who go post nonsense in channels with clear rules because they are fake and automated accounts set up for farming.

Do you block everyone in spam? Cause I once was labeled spam back when the algorithm was wonky

I also need to spend time blocking a large number of these spam 😑
