Unblock Monday Describe a problem you're stuck with in a cast and I'll give you a cast-length suggestion (and may link to something else). Like everything in this channel, people should feel free to jump in. AUA (ask us anything), not AMA.

ha, that's the problem I trying to solve too... Strong opinion, loosely held: bottoms up only happens after a "social" founder wills the space into existence. Best mental model I have is you're throwing a party and if you do enough work and the vibe is right, the party can become self-sustaining.

If it’s at the community level: Safe or funny questions. Something to get into the habit of posting so that posting isn’t weird anymore. For specific channels, it’s harder. Maybe you don’t need the channel ?

Recognition and ownership are the two biggest factors here IMHO Consistently recognizing people who are leaders and deferring to them when people come to you

I hit this building a web3 community at Google. I mobilized the community until others started helping keep folks engaged, at which point I stopped curating as much. If the conversation dies down someone has to rekindle it otherwise it will go completely off. I didn't have time to rekindle so that community is dead.
