I just saw a commercial for morethannormalaging.com which was pushing a medication that treated amyloid plaques in the brain. My understanding was that this theory of Alzheimer’s wasn’t holding up well to clinical interventions. What is our latest understanding of the causes of dementia?

our prob in AD is cognitive functioning rather than developmental Okay, we got rid of the amyloid plaques, but what are we gonna do about what’s causing them in the first place?
