Why the big ceremony around interest rates every 6 weeks? It seems so outdated. Interest rates should be adjusted by the Fed continuously, or at least daily.

Well it’s the way we collect data, we don’t have a stream of data coming in. If they had a stream of data the decision could be closer to real time not sure we will ever get to smart contract level adjustments but that would be SICK

Everytime a powerful country changes the interests rates there’s consequences somewhere. I think 6 weeks are for stability. But I could be wrong.

I believe the 6 week schedule helps avoid market chaos. Constant changes would cause too much uncertainty for businesses/consumers.
