A Farcaster client someone should build: Anoncaster Allow users to link an alt account & zk-prove they control another account with at least n followers, without revealing which account it is. Display a leaderboard and make it easy to follow. This would help people bootstrap anon accounts without doxxing themselves.

i made something very similar a few months ago... however i am building Daimo now and side quests are Absolutely Haram but i'd love to see anoncaster exist. if anyone else here wants to build it, let me know; happy to give guidance.

I very much like the idea & could see myself playing with an anon alt. Two alternatives to zk-proving the follower count would be zk-proving that the main account has an FID < n (i.e., proof of OG-ness), has contributed at least n casts (i.e., proof of participation), or has an engagement metric > n (i.e., popularity)

Why does it matter if they control another account with at least n followers? These numbers can be gamed. More interesting to prove at least m interesting people follow them. For maximum points, the leaderboard would display the followers you share. (Might be hard in the zk context.)

What is the point of zk-proving, does it help with attention (beyond content itself, and curiosity)? or is it a route to self-reveal later? Without it, does anon-casting just degenerate into the lowest quality of dreck?
