I don't understand the argument that crypto solves the problem of verifying real vs AI-generated content. how exactly does crypto help here? genuinely curious

How many people use PGP for email encryption?

I'm interested in good arguments for why this needs to be decentralised and we can't use pgp encryption like we do for email encryption
