I spent a week without Priority mode and the feed was much worse. However, I recognize that I’m likely missing messages from people who are excluded from Power Badge from one reason or another. I wonder if there is a rating system (e.g. Uber driver stars) that would help filter user quality with more granularity.

yes, there is. Digital identity and reputation is being build on seize.io (by 6529). APIs are open and it’s open source.

It's a tough problem and often times the roads lead back to the same problem with power badges: influence is concentrated to popular incumbents. If it's an evenly weighted ranking then the bots flood in to rate each other.

Hey @phil at this stage there is no way to get a good feed without being super strict with user filtering without some serious heavy lifting. But we are almost there!

I am building a feed manager where you can customise feed on basis of your own filters. While one rating system can be the @airstack.eth social score, as an user you can keep rating some users and then we filter you feed accordingly. Sounds interesting?

As a non-power badge user, it's challenging to engage in conversations and get noticed, which feels exclusive and frustrating. To receive replies or likes, I must turn off priority mode and interact with other non-badge holders to eventually earn a badge. 🤞 this will be adjusted at some point! When you see, you see!

I've struggled with building connection as a newbie. I don't want to cast a bunch of meme-like content for the sake of getting likes. And it's unreasonable to expect people to reply for rank without knowing if their replies are seen.
