While I wasn’t saying “communism is good,” I was saying:

Capitalism is bad, actually.

If you want lived experiences I’m the son of two working class parents who have been repeatedly broken down by the system they work so hard to uphold. Both are always a few paycheques from homeless in one of the richest countries on earth.

The book is deeply flawed and to a large degree academically incorrect. This is a critical analysis of only a few pages. It doesn't serve as an example for anything except maybe that he's a hack. Also Dengism was modernized Marxism - Leninism, not capitalism.
