More than 200 chains (L1s, L2s and L3s) have launched in the past year. That means it’s getting harder to compete for mindshare - why should I use or build on your chain, and how is it different from any other general purpose platform? Technical superiority isn’t enough - plenty of examples in tech where the most advanced option failed to gain traction (think Betamax vs VHS). But purely operating off vibes doesn’t work either - developers are the lifeblood of crypto, and there needs to be something of substance for them to stick around. The most successful and fastest growing ecosystems have to offer a novel value proposition AND have a strong GTM (while realizing devs, creators and users all overlap) Here’s a few (non exhaustive examples) of ecosystems with near term launches doing it all:

* Flow's Crescendo launch - on the technical side, it keeps all of the advantages of Flow, including protocol-level account abstraction, mobile secure elements, and MEV protection, while adding EVM compatibility. On GTM - they’ve invested heavily in their developer ecosystem, ensuring their full developer ecosystem has the right tools, platforms and solutions to build apps users will actually want to use.

* Berachain - on the technical side, their novel proof of liquidity mechanism embeds sharing rewards with protocols on the network. On GTM, they've fully embraced memes, and built an idiosyncratic community (where the founder shows up IRL wearing a bear mask) resulting huge, ongoing attention

* Sei's v2 launch - Sei has also added EVM equivalence, and alongside all of their emphasis on speed and parallelization, they’re making it easier for developers who are already familiar with the EVM ecosystem. On the GTM side, they’ve taken a dev-first approach, building strong partnerships with all leading infrastructure partners to make sure builders have what they need right off the bat

* Monad - with regards to tech, Monad is offering developers an ultra-high performance environment through its own parallelization approach, while still offering EVM compatibility. On GTM, Monad has been adept at business development, maintaining an active appearance at major conferences, forging partnerships with high profile teams, while also pursuing active engagement across Discord, combining a bottoms up with a top down community building approach

* Camp Network - Camp is innovating through interfacing with verified web2 identity data, making it far easier (among other benefits) to onboard new users, and for protocols to build immersive and user-context aware apps. On GTM, Camp has also embraced a whimsical, meme-first tone, while also adopting a strong stance in terms of listening to developers by releasing excellent SDKs
