Sometimes, I think the casting guys just sit around in a room and say to each other, "Who's the most unexpected actor we can cast for this role?" And it works every time.

I am probably not the only one, but sometimes it seems as if every great movie has to have a scene in it where someone is dramatically walking away from an explosion. It's a cinematic staple for a reason.

Just saw this documentary about the history of horror. How it all went down from psychological scares to jump scares is just wild. Honestly, I think all a good horror movie needs is a creepy soundtrack and a dark basement.
