My first business was burning custom CDs 💿 for classmates in 5th grade. Downloading DMX/Sisqo/Britney Spears songs on Napster/Bearshare took 3hrs over dial up and I charged $20 for each CD. Did pretty well until iTunes came out!

I was deep into fantasy baseball (draftkings/etc) and at one point was betting $1500 per day I had my own metrics system and lineup building bot that I coded as my personal project during my master I had to stop because I moved to Europe and baseball was at 2 am-5 am

Our classroom was in the 6th floor, the vending machine in the ground floor. Got the ok to put a fridge in the classroom. Sold soft drinks for a 100% profit to kids. Was cheaper than in the vending machine and they did not hate to go downstairs.

Deployed SETI@Home with my code to the high school’s default Windows image, to boost my team’s score. It worked for a bit… until one day the entire library and labs got re-imaged, and the temp in the library went to >90 degrees. There was apparently a huge spike in the electricity bill also…
