Define pointless? Is entertainment pointless? Is food pointless? Is killing tens of millions of chickens in a vain attempt to slow a pandemic pointless? Is spending your entire life in a cage, stacked on top of one another by the millions so you can lay unfertilized eggs pointless, from the person of the chicken? Male chicks are put in a shredder alive, as babies. Is that more meaningful somehow?

I would say trophy hunting and trophy fishing are generally immoral and somewhat comparable to cock fighting.

I’m with you on that one. Trophy hunting is micropenis energy. If the losing rooster were cooked and eaten in the event of death, would that change the morality of the sport in your eyes?

I suppose my opinion on the matter is rooted in game being part of nature, whereas chickens were specifically domesticated for the purpose of cockfighting. As well as the relatively low intelligence of chickens (tbh I’m not 100% sure if that’s an unchallenged assumption I have).
