My 16 year old wants to try his first beer. Are there any issues with this? And if not, what beer should I pick? Thoughts?

i think you should allow him to firstly, it’s great that he shared this with you, it shows he trusts you secondly, he’ll always remember he had his first beer with his dad thirdly if you say no, he could just go behind your back and do it, and become sneaky

Don’t go around telling people but if we were getting sloshed at that age puking in tubs and playing with your win vomit, then I don’t see why he couldn’t. 2 options: give him naty ice and start from the bottom, or get a classy craft IPA that will overload his tastebuds and make him not want to drink beer for another 16 years.

The fact he’s coming to you for this means you’re doing something right!I hope my kids trust me like this when they’re 16.
