New Filter in Telegram Cast Alerts Bot – Exclude Specific Authors from Alerts How I use it I'm tracking all my Frame links posted on FC but excluding those posted by bots I created. Here’s setup: - Add the Frame domain in the “Website URL” filter - Add the bot usernames in the “Exclude Authors” filter (last step) This way, I get alerts for all casts containing my Frame links on FC, even if they don’t mention me. Hehe, true! It’s also interesting that several people here mentioned communities led or started by agencies. Didn't know that it is common. I guess, for an agency, it’s a way to find new hires?

By "community," I've also meant a group where people can clearly identify whether they are part of it or not. With such a large channel like /dev, I guess it’s much harder to establish that sense of identity

Does anyone know of or belong to good and active dev communities? Every Web3-related and somewhat active community I've found usually ends up being a place for promotional talks from dev rels, which I feel negatively impacts the quality of the community and discourages activity from others. I’m curious if there are any dev communities (not only web3) that people genuinely enjoy being part of and contributing to

I originally wanted to build dev tools or something related to data / analytics and OSS. But generating revenue from these types of projects seems like it could take a long time. Also after watching for a couple of years what others are building and what works, I now think it’s way harder to build something profitable in crypto that isn’t tied to payments. Even when people start with non-financial projects, they often end up pivoting to financial one. Like with the TG bot I built and started charging for, most activity comes from users interested in tokens or financial/degen side of FC. That’s why I also started building frame v2 - to explore more on the financial side of web3 since that’s where most of the demand seems to be. But I’d still like to combine it with social features. The next thing I’m thinking about building - adding when someone you follow launches something, letting you take action (swap or mint) directly on Farcaster while I can earn a commission from the transactions.

Why Effect TS? I’m building a library that makes a lot of direct JSON-RPC requests, and Effect TS has been incredibly helpful for that. It comes with features that make handling requests much easier, like retrying, caching, batching, and timeouts. But my favorite part is the built-in tracing: - The library I’ve built has tracing tags for key functions - When I use this library in other apps, I can quickly identify bottlenecks by integrating service like Honeycomb - Knowing exactly which function is causing issues makes it much easier to fix and improve the library
