Every time I check twitter/X, it feels like there's so much drama out of nothing. Maybe it's the algorithm, because it rewards people with more views and likes when they're beefing, so everyone wants to be in the middle of drama

I still don't understand the appeal of that platform. It seems like everyone I talk to who are heavy users of it are terminally sad or anxious about the future or something I've never heard about that is probably irrelevant to life

Yeah, true... But to be honest, I've also heard positive things - mostly from people who are super careful with their likes and interactions there. That helps shape the algorithm, and for them, it could be a decent news feed.

I try really hard to do that. Some have real drama and beef but know that it’s attracting engagement and views so they’re ok with airing out dirty laundry, riling each other up, and just being the roots of horrible vibes doesn’t phase them. they’re like frenemies and we watch like it’s Jerry Springer.. except Jerry Springer was way more entertaining. One of them is legit insane and somehow has beef with me.
