I was initially asking for memetic studies similar to "the selfish gene". Going to read on Daniel Dennet!

Memetic or Mimetic Theory? For Memetic I would say Daniel Dennett, for Mimetic I would say Girard.

Just finished, great piece. Do you have any readings recommendation on the "why" certain memes or wants spread more than others? 

From my readings on the Girardian theory it seems to focus less on that area

Did some weekly reading groups a while back and seems legit to me, anecdotally and scientifically.

David Deutsch’s Beginning of Infinity expands upon this. Karl popper also applies evolution to theories.

Start with Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World.

“Wanting” by Luke Burgis is very accessible. 

“I Saw Satan Fall Like Lightning” by Rene Giroud is dense, but good.
