Hey, to GM you have to start your cast with GM. 
I think it is more like Twitter with some extra features. 
Have you already been introduced to channels? I think it is one of the most important things here. It is how you can meet people with the same interests. You can follow channels and ask to join them as a member, so you can cast in them.
