I posted one before but here’s another political ideology of mine that I don’t really expect people to understand I think that balancing privacy and security is challenging because enhancing security often requires measures that infringe on personal privacy(no I do not work for the government)😭

I’m generally a proponent of state capacity i.e. collecting taxes and providing public goods But man, if you look at the amount spent to produce <some desired result>, the inefficiency is wild 😔

Expecting that a moderate left stance on the current model of democracy will bring equality to humanity. More and more I’ve been thinking on another difficult thing to defend, revolution.

I’d typically prefer limited government intervention and control at the federal level. But due to our current political situation, I’ve been pushing for more power at the federal level.

Can ‘free speech’ be somewhat regulated. And if it’s the case can it still be called free? Example: where I live you can do and say what you want unless it’s public hate against a group of people. That last part is a criminal offence. Saying ‘I don’t like group X’ is ok But “shoot all group X” is a criminal offence.

One sure thing about me is that I individual freedom.. and despite this, I sometimes struggle to reconcile it with the need for strong social safety nets. Balancing personal responsibility with collective support is is quite tough tbh. How about you?

Believing in the importance of free speech can be hard to defend for me. Especially when it entails allowing harmful or offensive ideas and opinions to be expressed

That in 2024 we should not relay on politicians and policy in general. We should have the right to vote on anything. Vox populi vox dei
