I think you have to make an argument for before it can be argued against? Any argument I can make against would be a counter argument towards a for position, ya know? I could make them but I wouldn’t know if I was arguing towards the reasons someone would be for or not

On the other hand, some people who have children probably shouldn’t be allowed to, let alone vote.

Born to Reagan/Nixon loving parents here who supported everything menacing us today. I think it’s reasonable to lower the voting age but there are a lot of kids who would have their parents vote on their behalf over their dead bodies I’ll debate what age to lower voting age any day but parents don’t necessarily know best by virtue of being parents

They already do. It just can't be used for 18 years, and the child is the one who gets to use it.

What would it matter? It’s not like we look to the popular vote for the election. It seems like this would serve to benefit conservatives in swing states, not the childless, cat lovers 😸

this assumes the parents would be voting for the best interest of the child and can be abused by: - one partner with power over another - people who have more children to get more votes now let us mud wrestle

I’d be willing to bet there are parents with 18+ year-olds living in their house that do get the extra vote. 😳
