A lot of complaints recently that Farcaster doesn't have enough "beef".

Alright, lets fight:

Parents should get an extra vote delegated to them when their child is born

I think you have to make an argument for before it can be argued against? Any argument I can make against would be a counter argument towards a for position, ya know? I could make them but I wouldn’t know if I was arguing towards the reasons someone would be for or not

So assuming that parents would vote in the interest of their kids, I might agree. My counter is that in practice, that wouldn’t be the case in a vast number of cases.

We can assume that there’s many 17.9 year olds (and younger) who would not vote the same way as their parents, so they’d essentially be empowering people who they disagree with.

I would be open to us having more opportunities for direct democracy (ballot measures, plebiscites) where something like what you’re suggesting could work, but not for general elections.

More broadly, thinking about the present state of politics (to be concise: fucked), I don’t think a good time to add complexity to the system.

I think that kids are citizens and they have an interest in the country

Their interest should be accounted for 

When I have a kid my vote is diluted, I’m not voting for two
