I actually like that there’s no beef on Warpcast; the people are much more civilized. The conflict-driven engagement model of other social media platforms had a profoundly negative social effect. It’s more constructive to incentivize people to converse with respect while steering clear of meltdowns and dunking.

I think we’re going to have to work hard to preserve this type of culture as FC grows.

💯 The longer this lasts the happier I am. It's a joy to build here, both tools and relationships. You don't have to be an idealist to know that we don't need more meltdowns and dunking in our lives. Truly engaging with good faith in arguments is a challenge, and as a society I think we've mostly failed in being able to do so. Given that, I'll take a builder's paradise over a dunkfest any day of the week.

This has to do largely with the early audience. But I might add that the highly incentivized model (degen, moxie, whatever) also creates replies that are more agree or at least disagree positively

There was once a time when we didn’t have quote casts for the fear of it being used the way it’s used on Twitter. After having them it’s clear we’re cut from a different cloth

the disagreements with ‘strangers’ here are often constructive, humble and empathetic. I’m mostly only dunking on my friends and yelling at them.

Agree re quality of discourse, and wonder how much of this vibe arises from, compared to other platforms, the (1) low number of users; and (2) relative ideological homogeneity of WC. As WC grows & necessarily evolves, I hope we maintain the collegiality.

Totally agree. Real, engaged people are here. Bots and/or disengaged folks and influencers are all over Twitter. Nearly impossible to spend a couple minutes at a time there before I ask myself why I'm there. And Murtaza I consistently get knowledge and interesting information from your cast so here, have my combined tips I've neglected to totally give out in recent days. 30000 $DEGEN

Yep. It’s like the first couple of years of Twitter. They were sharing and collaborative and awesome. I connected with so many awesome people. But Twitter ate itself and now we’re here. Long may it last on Warpcast
