wow, I have a goal to this year get to Japan!

only visited NYC after I had lived in Tokyo for a few years. it was rough

I feel this every time I return to the US from basically anywhere else

💯  on third long stay in japan right now and going home never gets easier.

Going for my 40th this year, can't wait. Felt the same when I returned to London after being in Seoul.

japan hits different, doesn’t it? sounds like reverse culture shock hitting hard

There’s a societal trust in Japan, Korea and other places that just doesn’t exist in the US today 

It’s depressing to return to the realities of a low trust society
