"reduced interest in the rule-based, co-operative multilateral system that it played a pivotal role in designing" That's a diplomatic way of saying the US chose war crimes and genocide over human rights. "That would have an impact on the US’s ability to inform and influence outcomes, and undermine its national security." Why can't we imagine a USA that's not dependent on colonialism and imperialism? It seems so obvious that's what we need and what the world needs.

This reset is long overdue. The US has abused its influence for too long and I hope it dwindles even more, the world needs to move away from a dollar dominated financial system

do reserve banks actually accept the physical delivery of gold bricks and hold? otherwise if just entry in digital ledger like forex reserve balances vis-a-vis usd, feels moot?

I feel like the west and in particularly Europe has a “sleep at the wheel” syndrome. America for sure is more dynamic and and diverse. But still very focused on their own lens. But the multipolar world is here to stay. Gold as well as crypto too tbh
