Elon Musk defecting to the far-right was an unbelievable Black Swan moment for politics in the West. One of the most influential individuals in the world aligning their politics with what had been a relative ideological fringe and even buying popular distribution for them was an unprecedented step that has already had real world impacts. A few years ago it seemed that liberal progressivism was still on an unstoppable roll but I think that Musk may succeed in halting or even destroying it over time.

The dude had an argument with his daughter and went to 4chan for solace, which convinced him that the "woke mind virus" is infecting the youth. Then he got mad that he wasn't allowed to force people to work in dangerous conditions during a global pandemic that killed millions. It's just him becoming a grumpy old man, as is tradition.

Read some of the replies and see you mostly said "far" as a result of the AFD endorsement. Knowing nothing about AFD, what makes them far-right? From a quick search I see "far-right" issues being: strict anti-abortion, pro-Russia positioning (need to explore exactly what this means), and climate skepticism?
