To everyone saying “why not just use Spotify or Apple”, if you take podcasts seriously you owe it to yourself to try some other apps. I’ve been using Castro.fm for a couple years and generally really like it. I subscribe to another 30 podcasts and am able to manage that reasonably well.

What features do you feel Spotify/Apple Music lack? Genuinely curious - I personally haven’t experienced any pain points with those but maybe there are some features I don’t realize I’m lacking

I've been using https://player.fm for years, tried others but keep coming back. Best to pay the subscription but can be pricey, if you wait for an offer to pop up it can be had for < $20pa.

Spotify, yt/music/premium, Apple Podcasts. This is somehow possible that listen to different podcasts on different platforms, also watching some of them. Maybe there was few old one which I listened on 3rd part platform

Long time Pocketcasts user but the UI needs work. Could be closer to this (image) than the current setup IMO. There aren't any podcasts apps that really nail the UI. Castro comes closest in that regard. https://i.imgur.com/kPUZm1L.jpg
