I'm convinced that ASMR is going to screw up a generation of kids. Squeezy, overemphasised, nail-tappy, whisper videos are hyper-sexualised and they make their way into kids recommendations on YouTube etc. It's weird and creepy.

As the UAP disclosure gathers pace, I'm (strangely) starting to think it's something else... In a scenario where a foreign adversary has become technologically superior in terms of spying, info gathering etc - it makes sense to muddy the information being gathered. Rumours and speculation are particularly muddy...

I really wish I didn't read about the Titanic submersible sub story. Especially the whataboutism defending people's bloodthirsty remarks about those perishing on board. There is a father and son on board, one of whom will likely watch the light of their consciousness flicker out before them.

Signed myself up for a lightning talk at our team retreat on AI tooling. Bit of a mixture between laypeople and engineers who maybe haven't been completely exposed to ChatGPT, Midjourney etc. Any good threads/examples worth demoing that come to mind to help convert that type of audience to embrace the AI apocalypse?

new project starts on monday. going to ditch all traditional UX design process and go entirely intuition-led as an experiment. my hunch: trad design process is restrictive and creates arbitrary constraints on creativity.
