Friend of mine was the chick in Washington heights to a guy living in Bushwick just before the pandemic. Long story short they kept talking through lockdowns and soon moved in together. Still together so it can work

I hear they're implementing congestion pricing for dating to prevent this type of thing.

My husband and I did 4 years of cross country long distance so it can work out!

NY long distance is hard but it can work! I was on UES and he was in BK Heights. Many dates in central location, then date in my hood, next date in his hood, then repeat so it feels fair for both. That last part is key! It then evolved from dates to weekends in one place to other. You can pick up fun surprises along the way for date nights or read/podcast on the train to use as conversations starters. Savor this moment and feeling. :)
