gmatcha, here’s a pic of our little matcha toolset: chawan (bowl), chasen (whisk), naoshi (whisk holder), and chashaku (scoop).

our naoshi is actually slightly too large for this particular chasen, which you can see clearly if you look closely.

the ends of the whisk should wrap around the holder so that they maintain their curved shape as long as possible.

it’s a blend from the Kansai region. not too umami or nutty, more on the fresh/grassy side. it also comes sugared and non-sugared, which is handy.

we have also tried single origins and blends from Yame and Uji (which is within the larger Kansai region). Yame was much more nutty, which wasn’t our fav.
