I recommend using a better UI to ChatGPT like - https://www.typingmind.com/ You need to add in your own API keys but then you can set different System instructions (like for shorter responses, etc) and a lot more features that are very useful.

With Bing you have a setting “precise” which is more to the point. One problem with shorter answers is that longer answers helps ChatGPT better reason through and solve the problem. :)

Sounds like something I’d expect to fix with prompting just as well as with a setting. Have you tried asking for brief answers?
