I normally try to stay positive but the new Blackbird app design is a big step backward imo

- dark mode only?
- cluttered map page with poor filter choices and big promotions that can't be dismissed
- video feed basically undiscoverable
- big "check in" button doesn't seem necessary (need to tap the NFC anyway)

The purple numbers are weird because the use of a non-black color make me think “something important!” but it’s actually just “more locations here” 😑

I can’t help but think that the skeuomorphic design of the buttons and ideolocators doesn’t quite match the rest of their visual identity either, and looks like dated.

Night mode maps during the day is so jarring

Dark mode only is always an L. Health apps love this. Levels, WHOOP
