Watched someone abandon a dog at the dog park today and it was the saddest thing ever

We didn’t realize what was happening until it was too late but thankfully some good samaritans stepped up to find the dog a home

Update: the owner apparently came back to the dog run two hours later after "getting a coffee" and asked where the dog was. Somebody there called the people who had stepped up to re-home the dog and they brought them back.

I guess it's a happy ending? Although doesn't seem like the most responsible owner...

Wow, reminds me of a story I heard from a former coworker. Child of immigrants who had always heard about American “camp” culture. When my coworker was a kid their parents drove them to a KOA, unpacked the tent and food, got back in the car and said “have fun at camp, see you on Monday”.

*grabs coffee from jerk and throws it on the ground*

it could be a change of heart. but i’m really glad. i hate when we disappoint beautiful furry creatures
