What will it take for voting with DIDs to become mainstream? https://x.com/iohk_charles/status/1744511505721073885

What do you mean? Are you implying there’s no utility or use cases for DIDs?

The largest user base is on enterprise/government side. Attended the Internet Identity Workshop (focused on decentralized identity infra) last fall and the perspective was a top down approach would actually drive adoption as the infra must be in place to enable use of these identifiers Top down v bottom up in crypto

Interesting SSI roll out in Bhutan, part of the program even included giving out devices to enable wallet use https://www.biometricupdate.com/202312/bhutan-stands-up-self-sovereign-identity-with-a-small-team-and-smaller-budget

i can agree with that. infra -> apps -> users, and once users like the new paradigm enough then it spreads back upwards. i'm curious if you have any examples of apps that have already adopted DIDs as either primary or option modes of auth
