DeepSeek just accelerated all development timelines. We were settling into the “fact” this stuff was going to cost $100Bs to build, that it was going to be closed source. Monopolised. & then DeepSeek outperformed all leading models at fractions of cost And open sourced the tech Now any AI builder has access to the most powerful model. Truly a gift for open source, and even bigger one for AI development.

Your primary focus is jobs with bountycaster, correct? This makes sense tbh .. as a recruiter it always picked up at the beginning of fall and began to taper off closer to December. There are a few intense companies who hire in Nov/Dec for January start but not super common. People also wait to leave jobs after Dec for bonuses too, so 1. feels like lack of jobs available and 2. candidates available. Maybe I’m wrong and you can tell me why!

TikTok’s ban in the US is a perfect example of why data composability and portability in social apps is so important. More than $TRUMP coin, this should give Americans even more reason to be bullish on Web3. Thousands of creators just lost access to all their hard work, followers, and content in a second. If TikTok was built on a protocol like @farcaster_xyz , even if it was banned, users would still have been able to carry their credibility, credentials, followers, posts, and data to another app. It wouldn’t be lost. There’s probably no better time than now to be vocal about how decentralized infrastructure benefits users and should shape how social apps are built moving forward.
