People behaved very differently when money are fake or real… Try to let someone play Texas Hold’em with fake money or real cash and you’ll see the difference in strategies. Going bankrupt in Monopoly is a zero risk strategy. You can just start over the next day.

since we're in /contrarians - people literally went and played monopoly. a game where you invest money. that's the only way to play.

I'm not against UBI, but not sure this tracks - the point of Monopoly is to win the game, which you're not going to do just passing GO. UBI will never be a path to "winning the game" IRL, i.e. achieving whatever top percentile of wealth you want to use.
