Disagree with this. I hardly ever talk about crypto here; there are football, politics, economy discussions and the same surely true for other subcultures (maybe my intuition diverges from the data here)

Consider d33m.com. It uses the Farcaster graph in a completely new format with exclusive focus on football. /negationgame similar. 

Theoretically you could astroturf clients for different subcultures. Warpcast doesn’t need to become like Twitter, with every subculture on one client, and the next big client for a subculture doesn’t necessarily need to be piggybacked on the existing crypto audience.

Basically: Farcaster got the crypto subculture with Warpcast. Now build Football-Cast, Cooking-Cast, etc.

Hate to be bearish but the benefit you describe sounds like “I like this community of open minded people who spend their time on experiments at the internet frontier” in the sense of when these experiments work and become normalised, the median user won’t be so open minded

At least crypto will be normalised by then

And of course, the experimenters like you will find themselves on the next frontier

what makes me comfortable here is i can talk about what i want (often not crypto topics), yet still can make references to crypto without having to deeply explain or have people be like gtfo

Honestly I think you should just integrate more features. With the way twitter is going I wouldn’t want to replace them because then this place will just turn into twitter 2.0 (not a good thing).
