Great Q! I wasn’t super exposed, even though my Mom was an author. I think by letting kids read what they love (outside of academia), they’ll naturally read more?

When a friend's child got into first grade we realized how children are exposed to books within their respective households. And unfortunately a lot of children are not exposed to books at all.

That made me think how we could possibly get more children to read. And I have no clue how to do that.

Net positive for society just in the fact everyone isn’t always using the same 20 slang words and “like” to join two thoughts together. 

What would be the reward mechanism? Seems maybe just in the purchase of the book itself through whatever medium?
