Am I the only one who is confused if pilates actually works… or if it’s just a remainder of all the years of strength training? πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

Is Pilates more for gaining strength or flexibility? I’ve always thought about getting into it but never pulled the trigger on it

Personally, I find it increases mobility and some flexibility. I also think it creates better mind-muscle connection. But large muscle strength, not really.

Think it's more beneficial for women than man? Seems like it's a much higher percentage of women that do it 100 $degen

Again personal opinion, I'd say men would benefit from it (esp. regarding mobility/flexibility). But, I also know a lot of my guy friends love their workouts to be super strenuous. So maybe good to complement with pilates.
