Jack’s family invited me and Bryce over for a lobster dinner I’m learning some fun facts about my team: - jack got a haircut, looks great but I miss the shaggy dev vibes. Feel like he could oust me from ceo role - Bryce’s gf is stressed about grad school stuff, also apparently before he took a job in crypto Bryce wanted to get an MBA (“harvard or Stanford”) - Jack’s brother is interested in a group of guys who do some form of squid fishing at night, they attract the squid with lights. He’s been listening to Toady’s podcast too (big W for zeropod) - Reggie (Jack’s dog) will eat Brie if I give it to him on a cracker, and by give I mean he stole it out of my hand when I’m not locking Vibes are good

Did you know that seashells are the oldest kind of currency? I’ve been taking breaks from working on the newest kinds of currency to hike down to the beach and look for shells. I get a dopamine rush when I see a little sparkle in a tide pool. It feels primal, but also eerily similar to hunting for magic internet money on my computer, like despite millennia of evolution our brains are still pretty much the same. I’ve started airdropping abalone shells into my friends’ hands when I run into them at the post office. I might try to kickstart a new local seashell economy and trade with my neighbors for fresh milk and eggs. Wish me luck.
