Since it's not an explicit goal of the EF and we all need to pitch in, Ethereum community - I have a call with a US Congressman tomorrow educating on crypto. What topics would you like covered or questions asked? Will take all legit suggestions into consideration

The path to letting banks count stables against their reserves. If that’s possible I can create a credit card that has no merchant fees!

On the meta level... - where are they at right now and where do you want them to be at the end of the call? - If they remember one thing from the call, what do you want it to be? That is, what's their incoming familiarity and opinion re crypto. Does it already mean something to them? Do you need to correct misconceptions? Or are they coming in completely fresh? Vitalik's political allegiances article comes to mind https://vitalik.eth.limo/general/2024/07/17/procrypto.html Variants depending on initial state: - crypto ethos (i.e. it's more than just money, privacy, etc.) - coin taxes are rough - stablecoins are in the interest of US hegemony - Tornado Cash developer responsibility Questions - What does crypto mean to you? - How do you feel about the privacy affordances it brings? - How might we set things up so it interfaces better with the US economy and innovation sectors? This is off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more

I would just ask him what he thinks about it and why. And how he thinks it’s different from the public opinion. Then you can offer to fill the gaps in his knowledge, and where he (and you) are interested. Gotta meet people where they are for them to care about changing something for you

Highlighting the existence of advocacy coalitions and open standards that help to establish & onboard a more decentralized & secure ecosystem! With policy strategies for protecting rights like transparency, privacy, and non-custodial access, or standards for diligencing critical infra like key security or node & client distribution. We’re so fortunate as an ecosystem to have many proven good actors in the space armed & ready to help regulators and TradFi onboard to ETH’s core values—so they don’t have to get their crypto policy playbooks from clown grifters. CCI (https://cryptoforinnovation.org/) & POSA (https://www.proofofstakealliance.org/) NORS (https://nors.global/) BA (https://theblockchainassociation.org/) TAC (https://www.rwa.xyz/tokenized-asset-coalition) CCSS (https://cryptoconsortium.org/standards-2/) + others
