“There are so many bots here.” Look at Twitter replies on tweets from large accounts - you’ll see the same thing but worse (scams). The notification filters solved this issue. Time is better spent focusing on growing real users and apps, not getting hung up on the bots that will inevitably be on a network.

And... the "bots" all pay the protocol $3, every year. Priority mode (on by default) eliminates nearly all of them from the entire app. Also relatively easy for other clients to adopt. Focus is on getting more good users discovered and then getting more good users signed up.
