Help me understand why founders use Echo. Why would you want to let random people onto your cap table instead of picking and choosing?

Echo is the new community round. Makes it feel like there was a fair chance for retail to get in VC prices. Expect a lot more venture backed companies to do this pre TGE and something I am absolutely considering for Coop Recs

Their target is early stage, likely folks who don’t wanna kiss the rings and date a bunch of VCs before getting on going. It’s an alternative route to the machine, seems cool!

Part of gtm Feels like ICO type of raise where there is a chance to get the strong/loyal community behind the project

Fundraising can be one of the biggest time sinks for founders, and the reality is most investors on your cap table are not going to be that useful or helpful (there are ofc exceptions) So why not just speedrun the entire process, raise the funds, and get back to building This is my read on it so far but would be happy to hear first hand account Related icymi https://dune.com/sealaunch/echoxyz-early-stage-investing-in-startups-and-tokens
