I'm afraid of Wilson's idea. I'm also happy to be proven wrong be Wilson and other braver souls :) I worry we'll hurt the brand if: - we end up funding subpar proposals because we feel rushed and better props aren't showing up - we end up burning a lot and many ppl feel it's a giant waste

agree and feel the same, its def risky. but - is it not the inevitable? forget the burn and lets assume the arb magically disappears, what makes us think that we’d spend more (or less) thoughtfully then? imo, the burn (or any forcing function) just gets us to the endgame faster. we will learn the truth.

"You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles", or: you can't make great pomodoro by increasing the heat, some things take time. The DAO takes time to coordinate, source proposals, etc. Specifically I'm concerned about the initial massive amount of spending required.

i'm all for slowing it. i suggested doing some sort of third party custody solution. but absent that (or a slower burn), id rather risk it.

fwiw this is my stance too positive to slower burn (longer timelines) if we can retain the same 2nd order effects and forcing functions but if we cant id rather go for it and put the project fundamentals to the test
