"miyazaki is probably so upset" you are completely missing the point, of course none of us are aiming to create something that evokes even a sliver of the emotions that Ghibli movies do this is essentially fan art, accessible to everyone in seconds

+1 on it getting old fast, its novel and fun now so lets just embrace while it lasts also imagine creating an art style so good and recognizable the entire world wants to turn their families into characters of said style and being mad? miyazaki won

oh i'm embracing it lol i've laughed more in the past 24 hrs than the past 24 days, and that's definitely a good thing miyazaki is the goat, and that's the reason why we're not seeing everyone turning everything into the simpsons (for example) i can just see the half life of trends getting smaller and smaller with each passing day, and know this won't last at the same time, i can totally see a possibility of someone using this to create some net new style that everyone copies - and *that* would be very very cool
