I also believe most of the tech guys will ditch RFK’s ideas once we start getting into implementation details. Who exactly is enforcing all these rules on food companies about additives/ultra processed foods that are core to the platform? The 3 letter agencies this group crows constantly about getting rid of and say overreach? Who decides what is good and bad? Are you prepared to lose your right to make unhealthy choices? Or be forced to exercise? Exercise mandates a la seatbelt law? It’s easy to be “for health” in the abstract. Less easy to think of solutions that follow our liberal traditions.

Until they start paying for all of my healthcare, I don't want to hear a word from them about my health.

I am unsure where I stand on this issue. With the broadest brush — I don’t want the gov to pay for my healthcare because then they get to manage and choose my healthcare 🫣

This happens now, it’s just that private insurance companies dictate which care patients can receive Very low transparency and accountability in this system

Yeah, it's a mixed bag. Having coverage would be nice - the only reason my accident bills were covered was because it was a company truck that hit me. But even with paid insurance, you're not really in control of the decisions. They can and regularly do deny treatment.
